Ask the Butler
The guest asks in plain language. The Butler answers in character — the exact latch, the exact buttons, the right temperature — and reminds them about quiet hours. Total round trip: seconds, and not one byte left the building.

Arrival
It’s check-in day, and the living-room TV is already on the welcome screen — the guest’s name, the Wi-Fi (masked), checkout, quiet hours, and how to wake the house AI. Nobody texted anyone. Nobody printed a binder.

The owner designs this screen in the portal’s TV-welcome tab. Guest names arrive from the booking calendar and are resolved on-site, so they exist only inside the property — the box renders the welcome locally and pushes it to the TV node over the node’s outbound-only connection.

The in-room kiosk is the guest’s remote for everything: chat with any persona, fire a lighting scene, control the TVs, queue music, and chase the hidden-coin scavenger game. It mirrors exactly what the owner enabled for this property.

The tablet runs a first-party node app that connects outbound to the box — no inbound ports, ever. Its modules and layout come straight from the property.yaml the box pulled; change them in the portal and the home re-renders on the next publish.

Guests talk to a character, not a chatbot — Butler, Jolene, Professor, Game Master, each with its own voice, with more original personas in design. Every clip is pre-rendered and Whisper-verified before it can play.
Ask out loud or tap the in-room kiosk: chat, lighting scenes, media tiles, games, and the living-room + bedroom TVs — all from one guest home screen.
Govee lighting set to the moment — “movie night,” “party mode,” “wind-down.” One phrase or one tap swings the whole room.
“How do I start the hot tub?” is answered from the home’s own knowledge base — grounded, in character, and checked against retrieved sources so it never invents a fact.
Tiered agents propose new skills overnight; nothing actuates outside a whitelisted action floor until the owner approves. Capability is earned, never assumed.
Local-first by architecture: the brain runs on a box inside the house, so guest conversations never leave the building. A cloud model is opt-in, per property, behind an owner-disclosed gate.
